10 September 2005

Somewhere in the last update or so Google Earth updated some of it's imagery so that the White House and the Capitol building are no longer digitally obscured. Many images were also brightened, such as those of my house and the building in which I work.

I just spent the last hour or so wasting time with the program by locating all the Disney properties, finding my brother's house in Florida (though I'm not sure it is his), plotting routes from place to place then 'flying' them, and generally exploring. Funny, but while I was doing this God in Tech podcast #8 was playing away and one of the things that Mike and Tanya mentioned was how cool they found Google Earth. In fact, they said 'cool' many times.

Do you have Google Earth and some time on your hands? Then check out the Top 10 Sightseeing recommendations or get some overlays of the Hurricane Katrina damage.
