Firefox - The Browser, Reloaded: "Firefox 0.9 is the award winning preview of Mozilla's next generation browser. Firefox empowers you to browse faster, more safely and efficiently than with any other browser."

Anyone else trying this new browser? So far it's been fantastic. I decided to give it a whirl after reporting a problem to Blogger that started after I installed the Internet Explorer critical patches that have recently been in the news. Upon rebooting my computer I couldn't edit my posts anymore. Honestly, if I could find an easy way to uninstall the patch I would. It's not the first time I've had a problem with an IE patch.

So the screen that popped up after I sent my question to Blogger Support had a recommendation to try Firefox. At first I thought it would be a lot like the last time I tried Netscape's browser -- about a month ago. So far it has more differences than similarities. It's quick, tidy, and has some cool features, like themes and tabbed browsing (that's really wild). And it doesn't seem as clunky and stodgy. A few caveats: The scrolling feataure on my Synaptics touchpad doesn't work inside Firefox. Gotta do some research to see if there's something that I can do to fix that. And IE makes it easier to manage cookies ... unless I'm doing something wrong. The only problem I've had with Firefox and Blogger is that the spell checker seems to be on the blink. The Blogger FAQs may have something on this.

I'm gonna give it another week, but I may make it my default browser.
