Farewell, Mr. Rehnquist
William H. Rehnquist, Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, once said "If you could say of any one individual that the court as an institution is the length and shadow of that individual, surely it would be John Marshall." Much the same will likely be said of you, sir, was we examine your tenure through some of most politically turbulent decades in our history. You will in turn be lionized and villified, but most of all you will be missed.
